Terms & Conditions

Please read the following carefully; by placing a booking you are agreeing to these terms and conditions

1 Booking

1.1 A  non-refundable booking deposit of £100 per course may be payable for all courses on confirmation that a booking has been accepted.
1.2 The balance of the Course fee is due no later than one calendar month before the start of the Course, unless other arrangments are requested by the SSA. If payment is not received by the agreed due date, we reserve the right to cancel your booking.

1.3 Bookings made within one calendar month of the start of the Course require full payment on confirmation that the booking has been accepted.

2 Cancellations
2.1 If you cancel all or any part of a booking:

2.2 The deposit charge CANNOT be reimbursed or transferred.
2.3 Reimbursement of any remaining % of the Course fee (if within one calendar month of commencement ) is at our discretion and shall reflect whether the place can be re-allocated from a waiting list and whether your accommodation has been finalised and paid for. Once the course has begun, no payments can be returned.

2.4 We strongly recommended that you arrange a comprehensive travel insurance policy – including cancellation cover – and have full cover for personal belongings. Instruments may need a specific listing on a policy depending on value. We are not liable for any loss, damage or theft. Neither are we liable for bad weather, traffic or travel problems, illness, loss of documents or invalid passport affecting course attendance.

2.5 If we are forced to cancel a booking due to unforeseen circumstances on our part, all payments made with respect to the Course will be reimbursed.

3.  The Scottish Saxophone Academy / course tutors:

3.1  Accept no responsibility for loss, damage or theft of instruments or personal belongings.
3.2  Reserve the right to substitute tutors as originally advertised but will, when possible advise you of any such change(s). If we are unable to replace an indisposed tutor and as a result the course cannot take place, we will refund any monies paid.
3.3  Reserve the right to cancel any course. In this unlikely event, we strive to give maximum notice and will refund all monies paid in full.
3.4  Reserve the right to change the venue, within a reasonable geographical distance, if circumstances change regarding the venue rental agreement or the venue becomes unavailable for reasons beyond our control.
3.5  Reserve the right to vary the course programme without notice and to refuse any application for a course without giving reason.
3.6  Lost Property: We will endeavour to return this (if found) at reasonable P + P cost. We are not responsible for items reported lost which cannot be found. Larger items can be held for collection.

4.  Use of images in publicity material
We may take photographs that include course participants during their stay which we use in our publicity materials or on-line. If you would prefer your image not to appear as such, please state so. Otherwise acceptance of a place on a course implies consent. Thank you
