SAXOPHONES AT THE BURN
Enjoy a weekend course of music making at The Burn, a beautiful 17th Century country house near the village of Edzell.
Tutors: Mike Brogan and Catherine Evison
6th - 8th September 2024
Supported by D'Addario Woodwinds
With music provided by SSA tutors, you can take part in large sax ensembles, quartets, trios, and workshops. Playing sessions run throughout the day and into the evening with plenty of breaks for meals, walks, and impromptu scratch band rehearsals! Expect technique tips, innovative arrangements and free goodies, all delivered in a relaxed and fun atmosphere.
The Burn is situated at the foot of Glenesk, one of Scotland’s most scenic glens, approximately 1 mile (2km) north of the village of Edzell and 6 miles (10km) north of the town of Brechin, and the River North Esk forms the western boundary of the site. Surprisingly close to major towns and cities, but still removed and serene in its own estate, The Burn is uniquely positioned in Scotland and affords visitors a peaceful environment and the chance to reflect and relax. With its warm hospitality, excellent catering and relaxing environment, The Burn offers a home from home in the Scottish Highlands.
