Enjoy a weekend of music making at The Burn, a beautiful 17th Century country house near the village of Edzell. With music provided by SSA tutors Sue McKenzie and Mike Brogan, you can take part in large sax ensembles, quartets, trios, and workshops. Expect technique tips, innovative arrangements, free goodies, and much, much more!
The Burn is situated at the foot of Glenesk, one of Scotland’s most scenic glens, approximately 1 mile (2km) north of the village of Edzell and 6 miles (10km) north of the town of Brechin, and the River North Esk forms the western boundary of the site. Surprisingly close to major towns and cities, but still removed and serene in its own estate, The Burn is uniquely positioned in Scotland and affords visitors a peaceful environment and the chance to reflect and relax. With its warm hospitality, first-class catering and relaxing environment, The Burn offers a home from home in the Scottish Highlands.
